Here’s the status:
– I filed a compliant against the City of Bloomington siting 5 batches of emails that were either denied or redacted. I believe the City violated the Freedom of Information Act passed by the Illinois General Assembly to insure open and honest government in Illinois. (yes, I understand the irony in that statement)
– The City then filed a Motion to Dismiss, my original complaint did not include some of the legal requirements.
– I filed an amended compliant after receiving some advice from good guys.
– We were in court this morning. The City withdrew their motion to dismiss.
– The City now has 30 days to respond to my amended complaint.
– We have another court date scheduled for October 17th.
How much money is the City going to waste paying lawyers to not disclose some emails?
.
What’s in the emails they don’t want you to see?
.
.
.
Yeah, what are they hiding? Where is the transparency?
