Attn: Renner, Koos and Colleen Reynolds

By:  Diane Benjamin

This morning Colleen was APPALLED that anyone suggest refugees should get a religion test.

Renner and Koos have publicly expressed support for importing refugees from Syria.   http://www.centralillinoisproud.com/news/local-news/local-mayor-pledges-support-for-syrian-refugees

  1.  There are no Christian members of ISIS  (ISLAMIC State)
  2.  All three should read this article:  http://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2015/11/islamic_influx_why_a_religious_test_for_immigrants_is_moral_and_wise.html
  3. This story is even better:  http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/427262/refugee-religious-test-shameful-and-not-american-except-federal-law-requires-it-andrew
  4. Will Colleen apologize tomorrow morning?

If those stories don’t clarify things, try this:

December 8: Stephen Steinlight,  Senior Policy Analyst for Center for Immigration Studies in Washington, DC

Save the date – 6:30 At The Launch Pad – 315 East Front

(I’ve heard this guy is phenomenal!)

One of the nation’s leading authorities on immigration, Dr. Stephen Steinlight is Senior Policy Analyst at the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) in Washington, DC.  He focuses on ascending trends in immigration and immigration policy, America’s changing demography and culture, the politics of immigration, the impact of immigration on the nation’s social cohesion, the consequences of massive low-skill immigration on America’s most vulnerable groups, and reviews immigration legislation. Dr. Steinlight is also concerned with the nexus between immigration and national security.

  1. Koos and Renner take an Oath of Office evidently not understanding or caring what it means to America to be and/or stand as a sovereign nation. It is a shame that these two morons hold political office in the USA.

  2. I’m sure you can’t reason with College as she’s just spewing liberal talking points, anyway. Stupid left-wing media.

  3. All your links prove is that you are willing to turn the clock backward to slay your demons of fear. That story that says that a religious test is required by law is nothing but amateur hour at the lawyer’s club. Religion is one of aspects of admitting asylum seekers AND there has to be evidence that not being granted asylum would cause danger on religious grounds. Doesn’t mean you sort out by religions. ISIS has killed lots of Muslims. To them it doesn’t matter what religion you are if you don’t obey them. So the argument that they only want to destroy Christians and Jews is wrong. Christians are being trained by Hezbollah because ISIS’ brutality. Last I checked, Hezbollah is s terror group.

Keep it coming Diane. I truly enjoy poking holes in your narrow world view. Did you even attempt to read your history books? Stephen Steinlight? Yeah, reminds me of the guy who once owned the LA Clippers.

  4. A religious test? Please. I don’t believe in fables, I’m an atheist, am I not welcome in America? Am I going to turn to terrorism?
    Colleen absolutely should not apologize.
Advocating religious tests is blaming a very large group for something a small (very small) minority of said group has done. It’s very similar to the “guns don’t kill people, people do” argument. But that’s ok, right?

  5. Why are local officials even answering such a stupid question? They have enough to pay attention to on their own turf let alone “ring in” on something that they shouldn’t even be questioned about. Personally, I’m wondering what the heck is happening in this country and the rest of the world now that the news is all Paris and Belgium and Syrians right now. Who cares? Let them fight it out amongst themselves. We’ve got enough shit to keep us busy here on our own land let alone be distracted by some shit we cannot control and our intervention would just muddle shit even more. Local officials need to deflect or refrain from answering stupid questions. Just because some dumb-ass asked it doesn’t mean they have to answer it.

  6. I agree 48, the two Mayors should stick to local issues and stop giving opinions on national issues. Bothe have enough on their plate to be screwing around with answering those questions. aren’t local officials supposed to be non partisan? Cough Cough!

    1. Religion isn’t responsible, but sinful, evil, twisted humans are. Same as blaming a gun for a shooting… stupid.

  7. Here it is Diane: http://www.ibtimes.com/christians-threatened-isis-lebanon-turn-hezbollah-help-1889610

Its a radicalization problem and United States doesn’t seem to have that issue. Despite all the anti-government, anti-Christian, anti-Muslim, anti-abortion, anti-whatever groups, our country has been pretty welcoming so that people do not feel the hate so much, that they want to commit violence. Europe and many other countries have centuries of differences and the types of societies they are do not always translate to acceptance. My Catholic breatheren faced nativism because some folks thought we would be more loyal to the pope than America. Don’t really recall any Catholic groups placing bombs on the doorsteps of Protestants in response because our country listens and does not tolerate exclusion.

Rather have them here than getting radicalized by tyranny and oppression.

    1. Makes sense since Iran backs Hezbollah and Iran is fighting ISIS.

Multiculturalism is destroying Europe because refugees have no plans to assimilate. Obama will instantly grant welfare to refugees here with the money we don’t have.

Opposing bringing more here has nothing to do with hate – it’s common sense. Liberals don’t want us to be the world’s police force, but they want us to bring anybody here that wants to come? (and pay for their care)

Christians aren’t instructed to kill unbelievers. You can’t say that for all “religions”.

      1. Wrong again. Any religion can be perverted for violence. Do the Crusades or the Spanish Inquisition mean anything? Even a rudimentary search would yield bible verses that people can take as killing non-believers. Deuteronomy has some good ones. Difference is, we live in a society that encouraged free thought. It’s easy to turn to the dark side when your basic needs cannot be fulfilled and merely speaking out gets you imprisoned. Fertile ground for terrorism.

        1. Review some history dude. Muslim were taking over Europe – the Crusades were a response. We do have fertile ground for terrorism and we plan to import more. Brilliant.

      2. Happy Thanksgiving! The Crusades did not end well: sack of Constinoble (sp), Rhineland massacre, rivalry with Eastern Christiandom….oh and winning back Jerusalem in the first crusade…murdering innocents despite promises of protection. Sounds like some people perverted what they were fighting for. Jihadists are using the same argument you are to justify the crusades, that the West is violating the Muslim holy lands. If it was truly defensive in nature, there would not be massacres of innocent civilians. Read this: A good timeline of the crusades: http://www.usna.edu/Users/history/abels/hh315/crusades_timeline.htm

  8. “Muslim were taking over Europe – the Crusades were a response.” What you wrote is just flat out wrong. Read your history.

  9. Christians wanted to retake the Holy Land from Muslim control. It had zero to do with Muslims invading or trying to take over Europe. Nothing.

    1. Yes, it started with the Holy Land, but it continued for around 800 years. It’s not any different than what we fight today. Europe was involved, just like now. As long as Muslims have a goal of world domination the fight never will end.

        1. It is a local issue. These clowns think importing people opposed to American laws is a good thing. Do some research of surveys taking of American Muslims. Over half think they should have Sharia law.

  10. Coincidently, it was this date in 1095 that Pope Urban II ordered the first Crusade and called on Christians in Europe to go to war against Muslims in order to reclaim the Holy Land.
