Unions BUY Tari Renner

Local 99 – Plumbers and Pipefitters PAC gave Tari Renner $10,000 for his mayor campaign:  http://tinyurl.com/catcjyu

Compare it to Steve Stockton’s 2009 mayor campaign:  http://tinyurl.com/bqryeao

Mayor Stockton loaned his campaign $12,000.  Cash and in-kind contributions of $10,660 are listed.

Mayor Stockton defeated Tari Renner in the last election.  The Local 99 contribution means Tari Renner will have roughly half the money he needs to get elected.

Is a union BUYING the mayor they want?

Are they buying union work with YOUR money?

Why else would they make a LARGE contribution to a local candidate.

  1. I will go out on a limb here and predict that Renner supports the re-development plan of the form based code. To uninformed union workers this means “work.” However it is the developers that make more money on tear downs, not the union worker. There is “more money for the union worker” to make when the developer does an infrastructure repair or remodel because the work is more time consuming. Yes the writing is on the wall with this endorsement. This country needs to repair it’s broken infrastructure and change trade policy to build new factories that the Clinton administration sent overseas due to NAFTA. That’s where the money is for the common union worker and that’s the whole truth, nothing but the truth, so help me God.

    1. Also, the Illinois EPA wants all water and sewer replaced even if it doesn’t need it. They want a more “Sustainable” system installed.

  2. You are spot on…Renner will join hands with Koos, and FBC will quickly creep into Bloomington.

Also, I believe it was in the City’s last years CAFR that I saw small print stateing the IL EPA is estimating the city will need over 100 million over the next 20 years to fix our sewers…whew!
