The present Congress will NEVER get along – here’s why:
Click this link: Progressive Caucus
This page was printed from the DSAUSA website – see the right top corner. What is DSAUSA? Democratic Socialists of America! It lists all the members of Congress who were members of DSAUSA-the list is from the late 90’s. I have the complete list if anybody wants to see it, but the prominent names are:
Nancy Pelosi
Pete Stark
Henry Waxman
Maxine Waters
Alcee Hastings
Cynthia McKinney (former House member)
John Lewis
Jesse Jackson Jr
Luis Gutierrez
Danny Davis
Lane Evans (former House member)
Barney Frank
John Conyers
Charles Rangel
Dennis Kucinich
Sherrod Brown
Bernie Sanders
This list represents a good junk of the leadership of the Democratic Party! It’s pretty safe to assume that any member of the current Congress who is in the Progressive Caucus is also a member of DSAUSA or agrees with their views.

From their website:
In this web site you can find out about DSA, its politics, structure and program. DSA’s political perspective is called Where We Stand. It says, in part,
We are socialists because we reject an international economic order sustained by private profit, alienated labor, race and gender discrimination, environmental destruction, and brutality and violence in defense of the status quo.
We are socialists because we share a vision of a humane international social order based both on democratic planning and market mechanisms to achieve equitable distribution of resources, meaningful work, a healthy environment, sustainable growth, gender and racial equality, and non-oppressive relationships. They are against private profit – in another word: capitalism
They are for democratic planning, equitable distribution, sustainable growth etc – in other words: We are smarter than you and we will tell you what is acceptable for your life. Sound familiar?
The current members of the progressive caucus are:
Caucus Members
Co-Chairs
Vice Chairs
Whip
Senate Member
House Members
Although a few members like Schakowsky will openly admit to being socialists, most are wearing a mask. Pelosi is now underground too. Have you ever heard one of these people say something completely alien to logic and traditional values and wonder who they were kidding? The DSA website explains a lot:
Preamble
At the beginning of the 20th century, a young and vibrant socialist movement anticipated decades of great advances on the road to a world free from capitalist exploitation — a socialist society built on the enduring principles of equality, justice and solidarity among peoples. http://dsausa.org/about/where.html
from the same page:
Those who point to the collapse of communist regimes, for which the rhetoric of socialism became a cover for authoritarian rule, as proof that capitalism is the foundation of democracy, commit fraud on history.from the same page:
Section 4: A Strategy for the Next Left
Socialists have historically supported public ownership and control of the major economic institutions of society — the large corporations — in order to eliminate the injustice and inequality of a class-based society, and have depended on the the organization of a working class party to gain state power to achieve such ends. In the United States, socialists joined with others on the Left to build a broad-based, anti-corporate coalition, with the unions at the center, to address the needs of the majority by opposing the excesses of private enterprise. Many socialists have seen the Democratic Party, since at least the New Deal, as the key political arena in which to consolidate this coalition, because the Democratic Party held the allegiance of our natural allies. Through control of the government by the Democratic Party coalition, led by anti-corporate forces, a progressive program regulating the corporations, redistributing income, fostering economic growth and expanding social programs could be realized.
Still on the same page:
Social Redistribution. Social redistribution–the shift of wealth and resources from the rich to the rest of society–will require:
- massive redistribution of income from corporations and the wealthy to wage earners and the poor and the public sector, in order to provide the main source of new funds for social programs, income maintenance and infrastructure rehabilitation, and
- a massive shift of public resources from the military (the main user of existing discretionary funds) to civilian uses.

Is there a difference between this essay and the Democratic Party?
Also from their site:
Democratic Socialists believe that both the economy and society should be run democratically—to meet public needs, not to make profits for a few. To achieve a more just society, many structures of our government and economy must be radically transformed through greater economic and social democracy so that ordinary Americans can participate in the many decisions that affect our lives.
Radically transformed? Like in fundamental transformation?
Now for why we will NEVER get along: The members of the Progressive Caucus and sympathizers of DSA do not understand the principles on which the United States was founded. They do not respect the Constitution, the rule of law, or the Founding Fathers. Evidence? See the numerous YouTube videos of them openly stating they don’t consider the Constitution when formulating legislation.
They pledged to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States from all enemies foreign and domestic when they are sworn into office. Their pledge is a joke.
We have more than opposing viewpoints. The chasm between the current Democratic Party and the Republican Party is as large as the Grand Canyon. Negotiating legislation with the left is like a bank manager negotiating how much money is acceptable for an armed robber to steal. Even a gun to conservatives heads isn’t going to make that happen!
Why is NOW different? Because the Democratic Party has been taken over by socialists.
“And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you—ask what you can do for your country.” John F Kennedy
It’s hard to tell from the quote, but Kennedy was a Democrat.
Gridlock in congress will not end until the American people throw the progressives/socialists out. We are a country of capitalists and will never submit. We are people who believe in American exceptionalism.
“In the long history of the world, only a few generations have been granted the role of defending freedom in its hour of maximum danger. I do not shrink from this responsibility—I welcome it. I do not believe that any of us would exchange places with any other people or any other generation. The energy, the faith, the devotion which we bring to this endeavor will light our country and all who serve it—and the glow from that fire can truly light the world.”
John F. Kennedy said the above directly before his “Ask not . .” statement. WE have the responsibility to preserve freedom and liberty for the next generation. Currently, Democrats are attempting to create their vision of America. That vision is divisive, radical, and un-American.
The TEA Party members of Congress elected in 2010 have been called obstructionists. November 6th, 2012: In the name of freedom, let’s add to their numbers
