The buzz is the Bloomington Police Union wanted anybody but the guy David Hales picked to be the new police chief. It’s not about the guy personally, it is about his experience.
Why would David Hales hire the guy anyway? Evidently, the Mayor and the Council had no vote. Why do we have elections when a mere employee makes all the decisions?
Hales made the pick??? Hales is a transient and nothing more. Council should make such an important decision, not some guy who just moved here,,,and will move again when council wakes up.
It seem’s the Bloomington City council doesn’t want to be bothered with such issues, as long as the rubber stamp #5 exist, backing David Hale,things will not change!!
Hales needs to be fired. Next election I urge people to vote for city council candidates that vote to FIRE HALES. The city council right now only needs 5 votes to fire Hales. Im surprised the 5 votes are not already there.
