North Korea’s citizens just voted 100% for their dictator.
Saddam Hussein got close to 100% of the vote in Iraq.
These guys didn’t get high vote totals because the people loved them. Politicians aren’t elected here because people love them either. They are elected by special interest groups who show up. It’s easy to slide through candidates and issues when most voters stay home.
In McLean County special interest groups could decide if Sales Taxes are raised 1%.
It is possible that Bloomington residents will lose their personal representation on the City Council because special interests groups show up.
In Illinois, the labor unions want Kurt Dillard to be the Republican nominee because they believe Quinn can beat him. After the primary, their support will switch to Quinn. Are you going to let Democratic voters decide who the Republican nominee is?

Labor’s Primary Play in Illinois

Unions are pouring millions of dollars into the Illinois GOP primary for governor next week, and for good reason. The outcome will very likely help determine whether Democratic Gov. Pat Quinn wins re-election in November.
Private equity manager Bruce Rauner leads state Sen. Kirk Dillard, 36-23, according to a new Chicago Tribune/WGN-TV poll, but Mr. Dillard’s share of the vote has doubled in the last month. Meanwhile, state Sen. Bill Brady, who unsuccessfully challenged Mr. Quinn in 2010, trails with 18%. State Treasurer Dan Rutherford has dropped to 9% since being hit by a sexual harassment lawsuit last month. Before that, Mr. Rutherford was the union’s favored candidate because he had parroted their criticism that the state’s pension reforms were illegal.

Everyone get out and vote, and take a friend or two!
I was raised to exercise my right to vote as an American. My dad use to say, if you don’t vote then you have no right to complain. I’m not against welfare for those needing assistance to help the get on their feet, but the key word there is “get on their feet.” We have so many on welfare today that believe they are entitled to it for a lifetime. I saw a documentary a while back about Obama’s aunt who lives in Boston and even though she is in good health she actually stated that she believed she was entitled to her welfare and would stay on it indefinitely. Since Obama has become President our country has went from 28.2 million to almost 50 million on welfare! Also the welfare pay has increased during his Presidency by 33%. This is a major problem today when it comes to voting because the takers, moochers and freeloaders are out numbering the hard working, home owning, middle class tax payers and they are voting for these left-wing Progressive politicians who will see to it that they get their entitlements. This is why we are getting these American hating, Communist loving traitors in high offices of our government.
I received this from my brother in Alabama the other evening and I found it to be VERY troubling:

temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent
form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until
the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous
gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority
always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from
the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally
collapse over loose fiscal policy, (which is) always followed by a
dictatorship.”
“The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations from the
beginning of history, has been about 200 years. During those 200
years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence:
From bondage to spiritual faith;
From spiritual faith to great courage;
From courage to liberty;
From liberty to abundance;
From abundance to complacency;
From complacency to apathy;
From apathy to dependence;
From dependence back into bondage.”

Professor Joseph Olson of Hamline University School of Law in
St. Paul, Minnesota, points out some interesting facts concerning
the last Presidential election:
Number of States won by: Obama: 19 Romney: 29
Square miles of land won by: Obama: 580,000 Romney: 2,427,000
Population of counties won by: Obama: 127 million Romney: 143 million
Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by:
Obama: 13.2 Romney: 2.1
Professor Olson adds: “In aggregate, the map of the territory
Romney won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of the country.
Obama territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in low
income tenements and living off various forms of government
welfare…”
Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the
“complacency and apathy” phase of Professor Tyler’s definition of
democracy, with some forty percent of the nation’s population
already having reached the “governmental dependency” phase..
If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million
criminal invaders called illegals – and they vote – then we can say
goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years.
