The latest EATING on your dime report

The City of Bloomington staff REALLY hates answering Freedom of Information Act requests.  Members of the Council think they shouldn’t have to waste valuable staff time answering requests from the public.  So, instead of sending FOIA requests to explain the spending below, let’s play a new game:  GUESS!  Staff doesn’t want to be bothered, okay, I won’t.

Below are just the ADMIN expenses for food and miscellaneous put on employee P-Cards.  See:  Page 112  http://www.cityblm.org/Modules/ShowDocument.aspx?documentid=8494

  1. Dirtbag thieves. They must own stock in Panera Bread too.

Gordon Biersch according to google is a brewing company. The only one in IL that their website shows for a restaurant is at Bolingbrook. Quite a distance to drive for a business lunch and breakfast. I wonder who drove? Probably the taxpayers.

  2. ATT: Union members, the building boom in B-N is over. State Farm has made it clear that they are leaving! There are good times, there are bad times. B-N is now experiencing bad times because the politicians that you continue to support drive businesses out of town, out of the state. Big business off shores their profits and pays little in taxes, many receive refunds after making billion$. Your buddy Obama is moving right along at fast tracking the TPP without congressional oversight and granting millions of aliens citizenship. Your local mayor is lock step with this Kenyan. What do you think that will do for Americans needing work? Duh. Seriously folks, your leadership was compromised a long, long, time ago. It’s too bad because the union movement was a good thing in it’s beginning. But now if you don’t tow the line for the union boss you don’t work. Basically you’re right back as to why the unions originally got started which was to defeat the intimidation factors.
