I hear bikes were banned from Miller Park on the 4th of July.
Let me see if I heard this right while buzzing around:
Bikes are allowed on busy roads with thousands of pounds of cars right next to them, but they couldn’t be trusted in a park?
Isn’t the speed limit really LOW in parks? Is government saying bikes don’t obey the speed limit? Are bike riders too reckless for crowds?
Bikers can’t follow the rules, like yielding to pedestrians?
I bet the STOP signs in the park weren’t working on the 4th!
(They don’t seem to work often on the roads for bikers either)
I wonder if bikers rode and then parked outside the park? Did the City buy racks for them?
4th of July weekend …anybody have any additional info on the fight at Chuckie Cheese. Sounded crazy… I know they have been having some issues with people shooting guns around empire and Hershey.

Bikes have been banned in Miller Park 7/4 for years now. They need to ban them at Sugar Creek Festival this weekend too. They’re banned on uptown sidewalks. Crazy bikers!

Yes, there are bike racks at Miller Park, and they were utilized by several bikers during the festivities. Given that there was a 3-car accident in the park during the event, maybe we should ban cars too during the 4th festivities?

I wonder if bikes are banned at city hall cause I never see any, unless there is a push for some new crazy bike lanes. Then 10-12 of them show up wearing their little helmuts looking all smug like they do, lol.
Funny how the “vocal minority” wanting the government to actually represent the citizens and spend less money is ignored while the Bike Blono vocal minority is embraced. They have every right to lobby the government, but I don’t like how much it will cost for something that benefits a very small percentage of the population.
