The Illinois Municipal League has a conference in September. The IML is an organization that hasn’t filed tax returns in decades, their top employees got themselves State pensions even though they aren’t State employees, and they lobby Springfield for local governments – and against the citizens paying the bills.

The title really needs changed. ECW and BlnNews aren’t blogs. We are doing the job the media used to do: holding government accountable, making sure laws are followed, and reporting facts.
Maybe Jeff Jurgens can find out why IML doesn’t file tax returns.
In an ironic twist, this is the same day the Edgar County Watchdogs will be here holding training for citizen watchdogs! More on that later.

He’s such a narcissist he thinks the only thing he did wrong was let himself get called out by a bunch of rubes who aren’t as enlightened as he is. He still talks smack about you, us, firemen, police, corrections officers in the jail, streets/sanitation workers….he’s just quieter about it.
I wish the meeting was recorded…you’d get a lot of material – and laughs – out of it.
WHAT? Rod Blogovich must have already been booked! This is just UNBELIEVABLE! MAYBE he’s going to also “teach” how to do creative accounting to pad your lunch tab.

Renner and Jurgens certainly have a lot of experience managing damage control when hidden information is exposed.
How to handle media you cannot manipulate?
1. Ignore.
2. Disparage as kooks, conspiracy theorists, etc. Claim “no one of note” would read and believe such nonsense.
3. Use mainstream (for profit) media to support your version of events.

Deflect, deny, blame…
Yes. I forgot the “Not me” defense. OR the “my remarks are being taken out of context” defense.
Don’t forget to ‘take your meds’!
Find out what hotel they are having their conference at, check in as a guest so that you have a right to be on the property, and stand in the area during registration and pass out copies of your best Renner articles. That ought to rattle the little man.
