Disconnected is what best describes the majority of Logan’s Zoning & County Board members & We The People of Logan County.  The boards are selling the community to the wind farm industry in hopes of seeing a return on their investment while these projects continue to be proven unsuccessful all over the world! Currently Europe is begging to get out of this madness because electrical rates are skyrocketing not to mention the multiple reports of damage to health, environment, agriculture, and devaluation of property. Unfortunately, the boards have bought into the lies of the industry, refuse to do their homework, & are willing to sell the community to a project that will bring us into harms way!

At a recent Zoning Board hearing, Apex reported on old studies from 2011, of course, we wouldn’t expect them to expose The Truth about Wind Farms being a huge sWINDle!  Facts & studies mount showing what a windfall these projects aren’t. Searchlight has provided extensive studies on multiple topics including one study conducted in 2013 that showed property values could be reduced by 25-60%.  In 2013, Ted Hartke from Vermilion County had to evacuate his $350,000 home because he and his family could not sleep.  These stories are not uncommon and continue to multiply! Honeywell School located in Vermilion County is expected to close next year.

Maybe this windy project isn’t in your backyard, but the community will definitely experience its impact & the damage.  Citizens of Logan County must get informed. Put an end to this madness. Livingston County fought these projects & won. The County does not have to accept the new ownership nor the changes that Apex proposes. Do nothing and Lincoln/Logan County will be in the same mess as Vermilion & other communities who have bought into these lies!
