Somebody should ask the Town Council:   Who should the State not pay so Connect Transit can get paid?  Pensions?  Medicaid Recipients?  State employees?  Schools?
saleAccording to the County records, this property was bought in September of 2015 by Normal for $150,000:  http://mcleanil.devnetwedge.com/view/RE/14-28-203-027/2015

  1. Haven’t seen anything in the Pgraph about the town selling another property at a loss. The council must not have liked the citizen feedback it got last time and called the paper asking them not to run those stories again – and apparently the Pgraph complied. As any good PR wing would do.

  2. Resolution is their only solution. How about not wasting money in the first place Koos-ie?
If ya’ all hadn’t been dishing out so much money to your cronies, the needs of the people would be paid for and have a surplus. The state is broke. The broken State of ILL will laugh at your stupid and desperate request as well they should.

  3. Always surprises me how many people fail to understand the reality that free money is never free. Plus, the entity doling out the “free” money can always take it away. Huge dose of reality coming if the state cannot “find” more money for public transit. The poor will bear the brunt of the shutdown. Those in charge of Connect transit certaintely won’t.

If they need to cut expenses, start with the managers car allowance. So ridiculous. It’s like State Farm providing their CEO with Geico car insurance as a perk.
