Where to see how McLean County voted

By:  Diane Benjamin

The declared winners of an election don’t tell the whole story.  Rodney Davis lost both McLean County and Bloomington, but won anyway.  Many local  uncontested races show large under-votes, meaning people left it blank.  That signals the candidate that voters didn’t think they were worth voting for.

Hillary won Bloomington but lost McLean County by 8%.  Big government progressives lost nationwide, but it didn’t in Bloomington.  It’s not going to be easy to throw the current Council and Mayor out of office in Bloomington.  It’s going to take a lot of work – especially getting people out to vote early next year!  It starts now.

The electoral map clearly shows why our elections should never by based on the popular vote.  In America power rests in the States.  The electoral map reflects States and how they voted.  The popular vote may have been won by Clinton, three states don’t have final numbers yet.  If the popular vote was used, all these red state voters would have been disenfranchised by the much smaller number of blue states.  http://time.com/4561400/election-results-2016-hillary-clinton-donald-trump/

  1. Well I’ll be having a conversation with God, but I won’t be thanking anyone for Trump. Oh and by the way I did not vote for HC.
