Update: The challenge to Tari Renner’s petitions has been rescheduled for 2:30 Friday. Hopefully, this meeting will be posted in their office by 2:30 today.
Thanks everybody who called or emailed.

I sent the email below to the Bloomington Election Commission this morning. Their office phone number is: 309-888-5136, demand this meeting be canceled before they are forced to cancel it. Since the challenge process has not been handled according to the law, they should really take a step back and start over.
Paul,
.
The meeting tomorrow morning at 9:00 am will be another illegal meeting if the Commission attempts to hold it. The notice was not posted in your office 48 hours in advance.
.
If the meeting is not canceled before noon, I will be filing an injunction this afternoon under the Open Meetings Act to stop it. I can not allow an illegal meeting to occur when a person, who was thrown off the ballot in the past, got back on the ballot because the Commission violated the Open Meetings Act.
.
The hearings on the challenges filed by Bruce Meeks should also be rescheduled since the subpoenas were not issued correctly. Issuing subpoenas with incorrect information limits his ability to call witnesses to appear.
.
Additionally, does the Commission realize they can not issue rules and them make a ruling based on them in the same day? Have the rules already been set? If yes, when and I need a copy.
.
Laws matter, I just want them followed.
.
Thanks,
.
Diane Benjamin

You go girl!!
None of this legal action should be necessary!! If only people would follow the law. Laws are in place for everyone’s protection, not to be manipulated Voter fraud is a serious violation. Resolution is required within an open public meeting, governed by the OMA, for the protection of all involved, voters and candidates alike. It continues to amaze me that those who make the law and those who have the responsibility to uphold the law fail to do so.
