BLOOMINGTON, IL – Sheheryar Muftee, a candidate for Bloomington City Council – Ward 9, announces an opportunity for citizens to interact with the candidate.
“In response to the recent and controversial Hershey Road speed limit change, citizens of Ward 9 approached the Bloomington City Council with their concerns. The petition on change.org, started by Erin Easter on this issue, has gained 680+ signatures as of today. I feel that much more needs to be done by City Council Aldermen to ensure that there is enough opportunity for public comment before making such a change in the future.”, Mr. Muftee stated.
“If I have the privilege of being elected on April 4, Bloomington Ward 9 residents will have an opportunity to meet and talk with me regularly. I begin this effort now, as candidate for Ward 9 councilman, so we can meet and talk about what on everyone’s mind.
Meet me at my house on Saturday mornings. I am open to having a discussion about anything during these sessions. No sign up is required, no registration is needed to speak and there will be no fundraising done during this time. Just stop by, for the whole time or for a few minutes, have coffee and a friendly discussion” continued Muftee.
Mr. Muftee’s campaign facebook page will have the most recent schedule related to these Saturday opportunities. At the time of this press release, the schedule and location for “Saturday Mornings with Muftee” is as follows:
