We are expected to believe a dedicated 15 year football coach suddenly decided he needed to spend more time with his family.
It’s a great idea, but it’s difficult to believe he wouldn’t have planned his departure and made sure a great coach was in place so the program wouldn’t suffer.

IHSA’s only beef is that the School Board didn’t know about the payments to assistant coaches.
One guy who did know about the payments was the Athletic Director Stan Lewis:

If Stan Lewis knew and obviously approved, paying coaches can not possibly by why Coach Hess resigned.

Is it possible the entire Board wasn’t in the secret meeting? Maybe they aren’t being told the truth?

Yes! We still want answers! It is clear to me that the Unit 5 office is trying to cover something up! The paying coaches excuse blew up in their face because the coach is clearly not at fault! The emails prove he was asking for direction and got it from the administration. I’m curious who provided the emails through the FOIA? If it was The attorney Kurt Richardson it would explain why the likely approval from the unit office was omitted. CYA at its finest!! That to me seems like a big conflict of interest!! Shouldn’t a third party be the ones to determine what should be released?
I agree that all signs still point to the Dads making demands and the unit office failing to support their upstanding, successful coach and the quality program he built! And instead giving in to a few disgruntled dads. If this is not the case, then simply release the recordings of all the secrete meetings with the dads and the board! Too bad the meetings between those dads and the unit office were not recorded! Then we would really get the full picture!
