Every time I read your blog highlighting all the areas where the city could save money I want to beat my head against the computer monitor and wonder how we can turn this sinking ship around.
First, EVERYTHING government shouldn’t do doing needs to be cut. A completely new budget is needed with priorities citizens expect from government – starting with the roads.
The City should stop advertising in the Slantagraph. If the City would get out of the entertainment business they wouldn’t need the Slantagraph for advertisement. Oh wait, entertainment is the number 1 priority of this Council. So silly.
I see Renner’s meal expenses have gone down since moving to expense report. $10-20 instead of $30-$40 (or more).
Reduced frequency too.
Don’t you just love it when half of a department’s expenses for the month is listed as “other?” BEC!?!
