Remember when I reported Normal spending $12,393.20 for an engine? https://blnnews.com/2018/04/13/normal-monday-10-minute-meeting/
I FOIA’d the maintenance records and had a guy in the industry look at them. The truck is a heavy-duty Ford that probably hauled huge loads and may have a snow plow. It’s a 2012, so replacing the engine extended the life of the truck – much cheaper than buying new. My guy said the maintenance on this vehicle was good.

This brings to mind the expenses the City of Bloomington experience in their garbage truck fleet.
Do they do regular maintenance?
“A guy” sounds like a reliable source (eye roll). I have “a guy,” too. Want to know what he thinks of this article?
Thanks for the STUPID comment. If you knew anything about me, you would know my business is connected to the industry!
