Every City employee needs the same message. Thanks Jeanne Hamilton.

Awe….how sweet….they “spoke” to him. He wasn’t disciplined–or fired, as he should have been. It’s all peachy keen now…..nothing to see here, folks…..business as usual.
The original email was sent at 4:19 PM. I seriously question if any corrective action was taken “This (that) afternoon”. Bluntly, I smell a lie.
Diane, we seldom disagree, but in this case I have to ask: Thanks for WHAT, Jeanne Hamilton?
What discipline did you want? I’d be happier if every employee got trained.
Training is NOT an issue here. Public employee arrogance and entitlement is, even if it was just a snarky, offhand comment (assuming he was on work related business–not proven, at this point).
If he was, in fact, doing personal shopping on taxpayer time, I want him fired. How can anybody disagree with that?
The facts don’t justify that. The employees planning parties during working hours weren’t subject to discipline – why should he? Their waste of time at taxpayer expense was MUCH worse.
TIme to give it a rest. An off the cuff comment doesn’t need a firing squad.
What are the facts–was he on the clock on official business or stealing wages from the taxpayer, doing personal shopping? Maybe Rich is right about “facts”.
Holy cheez whiz girlfriend, drop it like a lead balloon before the Rennerites accuse you of sharing a bowl of horse dung with Rich at the old farm lakes.
spoke to the employee all blew it off and had a good chuckle.
Figures, when spiking can’t be ended they don’t care about who has to pay for it.
I don’t have a pony in this dog race, but as I read some of these comments, real true feelings of Public Employees comes tumbling out. It always looks like they are lesser people than those doing the complaining. In truth, it may very well be jealous of a secure job, more than anything else. It is a “get even attitude” that stands out, not a real actual concern of the incident as they have most probably said or done the very same thing themselves. After reading these comments sometimes, I wonder why anyone would want to be a Public Employee.
Taxes have exploded in recent years. Salaries and benefits are greater than outside government. Add in pension spiking and people have a right to see employees earning what they make.
No one is saying that we don’t have tax problems that are being totally ignored by both party’s, but to demean all Public employees is an attitude problem and a complete disrespect of most of them. Your brush is too wide. This same attitude comes out against School Teachers most often also. And I still believe it is all due to a jealous and a get even attitude.
And don’t forget that, under the Renner regime, most new City of Bloomington hires are Radical Left wing extremists–the BLM, NIOT, Antifa types. His people. It’s VERY political. The days of “Good ol’ Neighbor Joe, who works for the City” are rapidly passing, which is sad.
MAGGIE: if you’re that concerned, then why don’t YOU call the library???
