Illinois People’s action was at the Sugar Creek Art Festival spreading socialism, note they target the young who don’t know that socialism kills:
One item on the sign is 100% renewable energy. Evidently they don’t know the wind doesn’t always blow and the sun doesn’t always shine. Creating batteries to store energy is much worse for the environment, but facts don’t matter. All renewable sources require a fossil fuel backup which produces more CO2 because it isn’t running at peak efficiency.
Check out their Facebook page. They want free college, universal healthcare, pensions funded, modern infrastructure, and the obvious: Make the 1% pay their fair share. Taking 100% from the 1% wouldn’t fund their folly, but again – facts don’t matter.
Will Tari Renner work for free so they can have a free college education?
These are his people! I wonder if socialism is what he teaches at IWU?

What does funding pensions have to do with socialism? I mean, doesn’t socialism “promise” to put everyone in one category,,,make folks more equal rather than providing priviledge to a special group of pensioners?

Knew a South Vietnamese army officer, and then a refugee in this county. On his right upper arm, he had a simple tattoo. All it said was “Kill Communists”. I understand and respect the sentiment more and more with each passing day.
The people I have met who lived under Communism share that sentiment even if they don’t have the tattoo.

Wind farms, can’t even cover their own costs in many instances. Can wind and solar be additional sources of power? For sure, eventually, maybe… but as to being the sole sources, uh nope can’t happen in a first world country with a huge need for power.
Very funny! How much did the government subsidize your solar panels? How much did they cost you? I could have invested what I have paid for SS and Medicare and received a whole lot more. BTW, Social Security is bankrupt around 2021. That will mean payments come out of the general fund. How much more are you willing to pay? We can always add it to the national debt!
Do you realize that the government REQUIRES all people age 65 and over enroll in Medicare. And, yes, Social Security is a Ponzi scheme. Current workers pay for retired workers. It was set up to be a “safety net” for those who were not able to provide for their own retirement…it is a socialist program.
Now there is more collecting than paying in! Great program.
