I wonder if she was campaigning again on a City computer? The conversation below took place mostly this morning on the WGLT Facebook page. I’m going to post the entire thing with nothing redacted so I can’t be accused of “editing”.
This conversation is a little difficult to find because it’s a response to other comments. Look at the story about the Kathy Michael press conference.

I would love to debate this woman…. as our president would say…. She has a very low IQ and is totally unqualified for public office. Go back to Chicago, Nikita…. we don’t need or want a liar and a fraud in office in “our town”. We have a bumper crop of liars and frauds in our government right now!
As a Tari Renner acolyte, Nikita fully believes the more she trashes and bad mouths an opponent, the more credible she becomes. That’s how Tari “leads,” and that’s how Nikita will campaign
Nikita incriminated herself by responding to the post while on the clock. Well played, Kevin. She couldn’t help herself. Did anyone notice that Nikita did not deny the allegation of using the city computer/property to campaign? Not once.
She is definitely not the brightest bulb in the city’s marquee and she has a Master’s Degree…?
Ben Yount ripped on my reporting this. He was totally off base assuming that I did this because of the election and the I worked with Diane and Kathy. When you assume, you know what it does to you don’t you Ben? I’m sure you do you ass. Cops and other city employees have been fired for a lot less than what Nikita has done. a lot less yet they were fired and the city paid mega dollars defending itself and the settling with the former employee. Obviously ben didn’t read the 536+ pages of proof showing Nikita was either Campaigning, Shopping, working on tasks outside of her job descriptions but applicable to her campaign, backing up files to a personal hard drive, and other suspicious activities. Only because she was employed because of her connection to Renner is she a sacred cow. Sacred cows who break the law should not remain employed, Too bad we cant depend on the City to monitor their employees compliance with radio station policy, and state/federal law. You’re a coward for not taking my call Ben.

Ben Yount said her internet usage was not a campaign issue but I claim it is. Someone running for public office is held to a higher standard and stands to be vetted to see if they have what it takes to hold office to serve their duties. She also in her own words said she brings an integrity to the office.
By just looking at a very small sample of her computer usage on company time we see a glaring contradiction to the integrity she speaks of. She deserves to be called out.
You are correct that it most certainly is a campaign issue. And as Kevin correctly stated it is also an employment issue. This is the left’s “diversity darling” who is being empowered and moved up the ladder to right some wrong that exists only in their minds. Whether it is a lack of qualifications, egregious or borderline criminal behavior, the left’s ends (minority faces hired or elected) justifies turning a blind eye to reality while ignoring normally disqualifying issues and character flaws.
Thank you Kevin for catching this and speaking out to hold her accountable. What I find amazing about this is the fact that even when she is caught instead of admitting and apologizing she continues to violate ethics by using the city work computer to fire back at Kevin about her inappropriate behavior. This only shows Nikita has no integrity at all that she says she will bring to the county clerk position! What really worries me about this has Bloomington been so hi-jacked by these left-wing Progressives namely the Slantagraph, WJBC and Renner and company that this will just be portrayed as a witch hunt against po-Nikita and made into a race-baiting event!
Charges of racism got worn out under the last president. It’s now meaningless.
Remember Renner’s rants when he was called out about his inappropriate use of the City’s PCard? He claimed everyone was lying, he did nothing wrong, his accusers were crazy…
Renner did this on all sorts of media outlets, printed, radio, and social media. Renner and Nikita=2 peas in a pod.
Racism, aww heck. Didn’t Nikita SAY she was running because she is “disenfranchised” because TRUMP is President? Yet SHE is pulling the SAME kind of crap that the Democrats are TRYING to nail on Trump?
