I’m pretty sure the City of Bloomington doesn’t advertise this, but they pay a lot for liability insurance. According to the proposed budget, here’s what it covers:

Since Bloomington has refused to fund infrastructure adequately for many years, they should be responsible for any loss you incur because of it!
Bloomington is paying more than $4 million a year for this insurance. They have a Fund Balance of over $2.5 million. See PDF page 195.
If you can prove damages, get reimbursed. You don’t have to be a resident of Bloomington.
FYI: Hershey Road was bad last year. Winter may have made it worse, but winter is not totally to blame. Spending on “Quality of Life” instead of roads is the problem.
Are we paying for Tari’s legal expenses under public official liability? for Japangate.
Since charges haven’t been filed, no.
What? We have roads? I’d sure like to see them IF we do. ALWAYS wondered what a nice 1/4 mile stretch of smooth pavement looked like? Last time I saw that was years ago, back in Arizona..
Far east Oakland got re-done. It was worse than Hershey. Funny thing is once they scrapped off the top layers the road the road was much better.
WONDER? IF that would on the mayor & council??
