Crossroads Area Student Theater to showcase ‘Godspell Jr.’

Bloomington-Normal Illinois

Crossroads Area Student Theater (C.A.S.T) is back this spring with an exciting production of the hit Broadway musical ‘Godspell’. The talented group of young people will be led and directed by Connie Beard featuring a modernized, Country Western themed take on the classic.

The C.A.S.T. family invites you to come and experience an evening of fun and excitement as our full cast of characters come to life in the story that follows a group of disciples helping Jesus Christ tell different parables. Using a wide variety of games, storytelling techniques and a hefty dose of comic timing, the story of Jesus’ life dances across the stage. An eclectic blend of songs, ranging in style from pop to vaudeville is woven throughout culminating to the Last Supper and the Crucifixion, ultimately bringing Jesus’ messages of kindness, tolerance, and love.

Crossroads Area Student Theater is a Bloomington-Normal faith-based non-profit organization providing young people ages 7-19 workshops and live theatre opportunities both onstage and backstage. They are committed to growing young people in character and service in their community and beyond. Those interested in upcoming workshops and productions can check out the C.A.S.T. calendar of upcoming events.
