Correction:  “firearms” is mentioned on pdf page 343 7.3a.7

No surprise, it wasn’t posted until around 5:00 pm.

PDF page 335  http://bloomingtonil.iqm2.com/Citizens/FileOpen.aspx?Type=1&ID=1067&Inline=True

This is mostly a re-write of the City Code and has Jeff Jurgens’ legalise all over it.

The words ammunition and gun are NOT in it, unlike Champaign.

This statement is:

PDF page 351:

oath ems

The whole thing is 17 pages long.

I might read it tomorrow.

  1. THIS is kind of ironic, since IF ANY of these folks are EX MILITARY, They TOOK AN OATH to “PROTECT THE U.S FROM ALL ENEMIES BOTH DOMESTIC AND FOREIGN”!!
    ASK ANYONE WHO HAS SERVED!!!!!!

  2. Section 7.3 emergency Power of the city manager: article A, section 7:
To suspend or limit the sale, dispensing, or Transportation of alcoholic beverages, firearms, explosives, and combustibles.

  3. Re: ALEX…Approving martial law power language creates unnecessary worry. It highlights the distrust between local government and it’s people. It bugs to question if there is a predetermined plan to impose these extreme powers. Why would you ask for something you don’t need?
