UPDATE:  Resign Tari Renner!

The video is from 8/14 – 9 days ago, not a few weeks ago Tari.  Can we had liar to hypocrite. . . By: Diane Benjamin Bloomington’s Mayor Tari Renner is threatening to pull liquor licenses from any establishment that doesn’t follow the COVID rules.
Since he isn’t complying, he needs to remove himself from office. Citizens will not comply with a hypocrite. The video below was posted on Facebook yesterday. Obviously it was taken recently since a guy is sitting inside with a mask.

  1. Typical communist behavior. Sharing this far and wide. It is certain that Comrade Pritzker and other democrat lackeys like Renner have their party marching orders to enforce another, more draconian lockdown within the next two months. Due to a “spike” or a “mutation.” This is all planned, folks. I pray that the good people in local law enforcement know that they’re being used as Gestapo puppets. And that they make the patriotic decision to uphold the Constitution of the United States and not the will of these sociopaths.

    1. I didn’t see Dietz in the video. Did I miss him or are there more pics out there somewhere?

Also, is Tari dancing with a member of his own household? If not, what in the world? That is close personal contact!

  2. The choices in all the coming elections (state and local included) could not be more stark and more important for the future direction of our great country. American history only provides one example that equals the times that we are now living through. The years preceding the election of Abraham Lincoln was a time of great division in the United States. That division ultimately turned into our only Civil War.

Those who don’t know history are doomed to repeat it.

I don’t know how men like Renner and Koos got elected in the first place? What I do know is that both of these men are part of a movement by liberal elites, globalists, SJWs, BLM idiots, socialists and communists to first divide our country and then take it in a direction that is contrary to our constitution and our rights as United States citizens.

I don’t know about you but I plan on doing everything I can to defeat them at the ballot box.
And if necessary, I am prepared to defeat them on the battlefield.

Yes the future of our towns and our country is really THAT important to me. I hope it is important to you too?

  3. I think they need to make local elections for all city council wards the same day we vote for President.

  4. First, this video should be forwarded to every Peoria TV station. If it is not aired, you know beyond doubt that journalism is dead. Am I the only one who thinks Renner’s public behaviors are beyond bizarre? Here he acts like he is in some Havana nightclub in the 1950’s to say nothing of the ridiculous outfits, jumping on desks in his classroom, acting like he’s a teenager in his sports car and saying hi to every stranger in a grocery store. His narcissisism is boundless. Dude has some serious mental problems that need to be addressed.

  5. Not to mention, there are NO regulations. There are rules, made up, not enforceable in any court of law that follows the Constitution. To quote a famous judge. “We are being ruled. Americans are NOT ruled!”

    1. The problem is Tari has threatened to pull liquor license…you think he will pull places he likes to go or just those he doesn’t like? He is the liquor commission.

    1. Crocodile tears. It was also in the Pantagraph. “We need to do better.” Typical liberal non-apology. The gauntlet has been thrown.

  6. I don’t get around very much so what is the location of this video? Do they have a dancing license? Ya gotta have one or NO DANCING as per the liquor commissioner!!!

  7. So apparently a sufficient punishment is simply apologizing. I wonder if mayor Renner will be accepting of a simple apology if businesses do not abide by his mandate?

  8. Renner was probably tickled to death that he found someone shorter than him that would dance with him and he just got caught up in the moment.

  9. Guy dances like a penguin with diarrhea! IF you’re gonna DANCE, do it like NO ONE is watching. But as for mr tari.
well, dance like you have no skill and you’ll be FINE.
Hard to believe this is at Rob Dobs. . Just a GOOD reason NOT to go there.
Wonder IF the band played “Breaking the Law”..

    1. I don’t know where it was. That said, it is quite believable it would be at Dobski’s restaurant. No matter your political affiliation everyone has to warm up that people in BN are ruled by an Elitist Clique where D’s or R’s don’t matter. What is important that all are members of the same club of influencers that decides what is built, who sits on local boards, and who profits. Go to any Chamber, EDC, or social function in this town and you will see them sitting at tables together, drinking and eating at the same establishments and sucking up to each other like nobody’s business. Having local power is what is most important to all of them and keeping the wagons circled amongst the clique at all times.

      1. You nailed it Peabody. That pretty much sums up this local political ruling class. This is all the more reason for me not to go to Hob Nobs.

      2. Yes and this hold on power in Bloomington/Normal is exactly why this area will never be able to transition into a 21st Century economy.

I don’t think you will find many smart, creative tech startup people who would want to sit around with low IQ, self-important power brokers at a local a## kissing event.

The smart people who will be creating the future will not be setting up shop in Bloomington/Normal!

  10. Lol. This so typical Tari. Virtue signal then get caught doing the exact opposite. I’ve seen him at protests plenty of times with his mask around his jaw talking up a storm. Thankfully, I had my N95 & goggles on.

    1. Hilarious, isn’t it? Some public official threatening to destroy someone’s business and livelihood over some arbitrary and unconstitutional “rule” that he blatantly flouts himself? If this is “typical Tari,” then he should be thrown out of this office tomorrow. Then he’ll have plenty of time to come to your house for dinner and make you laugh.

      1. I don’t really want him to come over. Get rid of him or keep him. The Mayor doesn’t have much power anymore anyway.

  11. If the feckless council had any guts they would at least bring a motion for him to be censured. Not that it does anything but at least it should force the story to be shown on the news, as well as be part of the public record.

  12. Mayor Renner should either fine the establishment or take away thier liquor licnse for allowing him to not wear a mask. As an alternative he could have himself fined or jailed. If none of these are done then in the future offenders should recieve the same punishment he has deemed appropriate in this situation, the issuance of a public appology.

  13. To carry on with what Borgster posted, this Renner situation should serve as “the mayor set precedent” as to proper protocol for the liquor license holders. Now we need more pics of Renner and his elitist friends especially in this particular establishment flaunting the mask mandate.

  14. Just playing Devil’s advocate here. Doesn’t the mask “mandate”..hahahaha..not apply if you’re eating in a restaurant? The picture of Dietz comes to mind. We go out once or twice a week and wear our masks until we are seated, then take them off. How can one eat and drink with a mask on? Dancing is another story.

  15. As an “aside” TODAY the McLean county health Dept reported 99 NEW cases of covid. 33 were age 18 &19 and the rest were ISU students in their 20’s.
I say WE as THE PEOPLE get up a petition and DEMAND that ISU (along WITH IWU) send them back home for “virtual” learning, since they CANNOT behave here. I am a caregiver to elderly people, and this is NOT ACCEPTABLE!
So Mr Koos, AND Renner Do you WANT a local “pandemic” In which case A class action suit would be in following.
And I for one would be MORE then HAPPY to gather signatures…

    1. Tari and Chris need the students here for more terrorists to burn the town down in BLM riots.

  16. Agree with Townie 150%. Don’t understand why the students were brought into our community without being tested in the first place. Totally irresponsible on the part of the universities and our city leaders for exposing us to this risk especially since they knew a large number of these students were coming from areas with much larger case numbers than ours.

  17. Simple BORGSTER!!
the ALMIGHTY $$$$$ Which “uptown” seems to NEED lately.
And Tari dances on into the night.
SO, Am I to figure that this covid BS is something to make CHAOS out of the lives of PROSPEROUS people, while the damyoucrats KNOW it’s a joke, and just party on??
I HOPE to GOD in November that these people get thrown under a big AS*ED bus.
