Since Federal and State grants will be paying for most of Normal’s new FANCY bike trail under the railroad tracks in Uptown, even if you don’t live in Normal you have a right to comment.
Buzzing around I overheard comments have been largely negative. Bikers are being called on to even the count.

But the underpass is an economic driver. Rivian came because of the bike trails. Bike sales will flourish if we build the underpass. Mayor Koos
I have ridden my bike through this part of the trail weekly for years.
Not once have I thought to myself – I wish I could cross the tracks here and save myself about 100 yards of pedaling.
Not once. 100% frivolous.
