The next regular Board of Education meeting will be at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, June 9, 2021. The meeting will be held at the Educational Services Center, 300 E. Monroe Street, Bloomington, IL. Phase IV limitations are that no more than 50 people are allowed in the Community Room. Masks are required; there is no guarantee of 6′ social distancing.
Hot topics parents will likely raise:
- Critical Race Theory masquerading as Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity
- Sexualizing kids starting in kindergarten
If your kids are in District 87 you need to attend to either speak or just support those who do.
The Unit 5 Board is meeting on June 16th. Parents with kids in the district need to do the same at this meeting.

The City of Bloomington has already thrown MLK’s vision of a colorblind society out the window. Every minority that is hired will make people wonder if they are qualified or an EQUITY hire. The City of Bloomington created an atmosphere where it won’t be clear whether the most qualified person got the job or whether hires are based on skin color.
