Payroll shows 887 employees. Remember when Renner constantly reminded us the City only had 650 employees?

Some of those 887 are seasonal and maybe part time employees.

Below is what the City of Bloomington reported to the Illinois Comptroller as of 4/30/2020. Updated information as of 4/30/2021 should be available in 4-6 weeks.

Payroll at the first meeting in September one year ago showed 852 employees: https://www.cityblm.org/home/showpublisheddocument/25182/637352577425400000

This is why the numbers will be available soon. The City has paid at least some of the audit expense for the year that ended 4/30/2021. I don’t know why the Coliseum is still separate since the City is now managing it. Results are never released until at least 6 months after the year ends. There is nothing better than out-of-date information:

I wonder if the BCPA will start posting event documents again?

Below is what the artist for the Forever Young show that was held 9/8/2021 cost, taxpayers deserve to know if it made or lost money:

Every time a credit card is used to pay a City bill the City is charged for processing. If you want to see how much, go to that page and the following pages. Also included are Capital Lease payments – basically the City using a credit card to buy things they didn’t have the cash for. Thank former City Manager David Hales for a lot of this.

  1. Anyone else think it is insane to be spending $1Million ish per year on a city position (present Chief of Police and and past positions pension) – maybe city manager should document what each role is costing the city per year
    including past employees pensions.
