No More Wind Farms McLean County

By: Diane Benjamin

Another company is trying to blight the country with oil filled wind turbines. The only winner with new fields is Wall Street since they grab the tax credits. Turbines will never create enough electricity to replace coal in Illinois, they will increase the cost of electricity however. Most jobs created are temporary! Landowners are frequently absent which means they don’t live in turbine shadows. People in the area will fight this new project:

The videos below are turbines not turning when wind exists – others are turning. I could post MANY more dead monsters. Disposal of blades after their useful life is still a problem. They are ending up in landfills, of course fossil fuels truck them there one at a time.

See this previous story: https://blnnews.com/2021/07/09/green-turbines/

and the pic from east of Bloomington – that’s OIL!

The local environmentalists need to install turbines at their house instead of where they don’t have to hear or see them. The wind farm east of Bloomington was approved 16 years ago. Since it is nearing the end of it’s useful life, the County needs to see what the owners will do with the field instead of approving more. The owners were required to have a $25,000 bond on each one for removal. Anybody think that will cover the cost?

  1. Wind farms all over the place. Another one is planned for 2023 between Heyworth and LeRoy. One nuclear plant will produce more power than a dozen wind farms and be MUCH more reliable. But wind and solar just makes people “feel” good.

  2. The only people that seem to be benefiting from the wind farms are the taxing bodies. No savings that I am aware of are being passed to the electric consumers.

On the topic of going green being pushed by the Democrats and our Governor a local Peoria TV station has been running a story about EV’s. I could not believe this when I read this below. Are you kidding me? Apparently not.

When I posted this below as a comment on a website this morning a Democrat no less pounced on it by saying gasoline burns. Totally missed the whole point! It’s the volume of water you ID!0T!

What’s the volume of fresh water Rivian wants to suck up out of the ground for their EV manufacturing?

“Normally a car fire you can put out with 500 to 1,000 gallons of water,” Austin Fire Department Division Chief Thayer Smith said, per The Independent, “but Tesla’s may take up to 30,000-40,000 gallons of water, maybe even more, to extinguish the battery pack once it starts burning and that was the case here.”Aug 17, 2021
