Like Unit 5 salaries, here’s District 87

Unit 5 story: https://blnnews.com/2022/04/01/unit-5-did-esser-funds-inflate-salaries/

The numbers on the graph again come from Open The Books and from the ISBE School Report Card website: https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/District.aspx?source=studentcharacteristics&source2=enrollment&Districtid=17064087025

Enrollment decreased in 2020 and 2021. Employees increased a lot in 2021, but the average salary crashed.

District 87 also needs to report where ESSER Funds were spent. I think I know one place, I’m waiting for a ruling from the Attorney General since 87 doesn’t want you to know.

Below are the top 2020 salaries on the left, 2021 on the right. These are amounts reported to IMRF. The average salary may have decreased because some of the top paid people are no longer employed. See all salaries here: https://www.openthebooks.com/members/employer-detail/?Id=70989&tab=1&Year_S=2021

  1. And people wonder why the school district is broke????? These people need to be terminated!!   Ron

  2. Why even teach or work in Bloomington? Let’s see you work to get an advanced degree and teach for years. If I was a teacher or a principal I’d take my talents elsewhere. You’re really scraping the bottom of the barrel in outrage by including an deceased beloved teacher.

    1. 1). I don’t keep a list of who died or who is beloved
      2) the state of Illinois is destroying education by mandating things that have nothing to do with education
3). More teacher will leave instead of being forced to indoctrinate students
