Judge Kording rules against the citizens

By: Diane Benjamin

Kording ruled Normal is an Incorporated Town. Normal now has to live the consequences of that decision. Illinois law does not provide a path for citizens to district Incorporated Towns.

The citizens of Normal will continue to be treated like dogs by their government because they have no recourse other than voting. 10-15% of eligible voters actually showing up for election is why Koos and his merry band don’t care what you think.

  1. Sad – no corporate business filing required as long as you claim to be a town the corrupt hellinoiz judges always side with corruption.
Be interesting what attorney Thomas DeVore opinion is regarding this abuse of power.

  2. The United States Constitution gives us the Right to Petition the Government. Perhaps Judge Kording is unfamiliar with this document.

    1. Says someone who lives in Ellsworth. Perhaps you can work in changing the government in Ellsworth. You seem to have a lot of time on your hands.

  3. Petitioners argued the wrong issue by challenging Normal on town vs. village. It’s immaterial to what you want which is just to put the issue on the ballot. This issue is easily researched. In New York and other states, towns of varying sizes have both wards and at-large representation. It all depends what the citizens want. Normal gets away with this because not enough people care and they know it. Next time, get a hard ass, take no.prisoners Chicago law firm. If Normal doesn’t put it on.the ballot, sue all those involved personally and professionally. They were laughing at you all before it went to court because the original argument of what Normal was or wasn’t was not germane to the main issue at hand. If you get enough petitioners, case law says you have to put it on.the ballot in other states. The Clique always wins in BN because nobody knows how to nail them to the cross. Be ruthless. Dullard, Koos and Company aren’t that smart. I know, I’ve dealt with all of them in the past.

  4. Perhaps Diane will mention how Judge Kording had to follow the law and in doing so (as a judge should) he had to rule the way he did. Also, perhaps Diane can speak to the recourse the petitioners have on filing an appeal?

We do want our judges to follow the law and uphold the laws. If we don’t like a law then we must work to change it.

This is not what any of us wanted but it’s the hand we have been dealt.

      1. This was a shock, in my naïveté of the law regarding this matter I was sure that a judge could just rule in favor of a ballot issue. I didn’t know all of the parts of the law and I didn’t realize what we had actually filed in court. We lost.

We are the watchdogs on the local government. Watch them like a hawk and don’t let them get away with anything. They want to meet in secret without public comment, call them on it. They want to eject Stan Nord (bless him) so they treat him in their vile ways with pure hatred, hoping He will resign. They want to Rule us. No!

Catch them doing wrong at every turn until THEY must resign or be removed from their positions. People who feel superior always screw up while believing they are above the rules. It’s inevitable!

  5. The Judge was ISU Student Body President somewhere around 2000. His goal was always politics. What Normal politicians were around at that time to groom the young man? How was he able to open a firm with an ISU College Professor (Campbell) just after graduating with his law degree? What cases did he take? How was he appointed a judge so quickly? Perhaps he should have recused himself 🤷‍♀️

  6. Ok. Then appeal the decision. Attacking an honest judge is so unnecessary and so many silly comments about his college career and his professional career. Good grief .

  7. HAHAHAHAHAHA Oh look, the Stan and Diane Clan lost again! Imagine my shock, this referendum was doomed to fail from the start and anyone with half a brain could see that! The judge ruled correctly. Looks like the Clan won’t be able to hand pick their candidates after all!

  8. ISU and their puppets and grads have their dirty hands in every legal and leadership position in this county and industry. It was choreographed and a theatrical technocratic show at taxpayer and voter expense. Systematic, judicial and procedural deceit has been bad for years. Don’t think it will ge better $$$$$$

Agenda driven stiff is always a clan of fools with resources and dee tools and power.

  9. It is so refreshing to see people who suffered a setback responding with grace, class and a good spirit!
