Gleason could have attended virtually for $149. The $820 doesn’t include transportation or hotel:
Tim would have missed all the networking fun and exhibitions though, besides Bloomington is swimming in money.
Aldermen Walsh and Emig didn’t attend. They missed what was sure to be another rigorous executive session to determine how big Gleason’s raise should be. (Mboka gave it away at 32:50) The Council only has 1 employee – the City Manager. The Council discussed it in secret for another 1 1/2 hours. The minutes will never be released.
Meanwhile 3 women immigrants spoke about their journey to America. All 3 obviously see the US as a place for freedom, that is lost on far too many people born here. They are from Ukraine, Venezuela, and Ecuador. Just hit play to hear them.
Someone need to point out to Gleason all the Bagged hydrants downtown and the water main that broke a few weeks ago that took three weeks to get parts to fix. I hope before they decide to put lipstick on that pig that they address the infrastructure issue downtown first.
