Bloomington tonight

By: Diane Benjamin

The budget is the big item for tonight.

Will anyone notice fixing the streets isn’t allocated enough money to even begin catching up?

Streets are becoming like pensions. It doesn’t matter how much money is thrown at them, they will never be rated well funded.

Is Bloomington investing pension money with companies using ESG scores? If yes, ROI will be lower. Some states have banned investments based on ESG. Illinois isn’t one of them.

If you have no clue what ESG is you are making the World Economic Forum happy. They don’t want you to know. https://www.weforum.org/agenda/esg

  1. Responding to FEDUP – As long as the tyranical JB Prickster administration is in control, expect nothing but a full frontal attack on the destruction of anything sane.

  2. Bloomington is only 2 city council seat away from equitable redistribution becoming a reality.

    Get to the polls.

  3. ESG investments are another Wall Street gimmick developed for sale by financial “advisors” to the uninformed little people who believe they are saving the planet with their ESG investments. As the uninformed investors are being “advised” the probability of their reviewing the investment tranches of ESG investments is remote. ESG investments are best sold to the progressive socialists rather than using other people’s money.

With rapidly increasing prevailing wage and materials costs, along with the endless City and Consultant fees and permit costs, consider yourself very fortunate if your street is repaired. Taxpayers recently saw JB send state road and infrastructure $$ to Peoria, $28 million, E. Peoria, $15 million and Washington $4 million. Bloomington?? Nope, thanks to the useless and irrelevant IL GOP representation to this area.

  4. The mega white elephant coliseum gets millions . They are proud to tell taxpayers that it’s been in red since construction. The only way the coliseum will break even is if it is either sold or torn down.
