Thanks, but it isn’t over yet

Please continue to file Witness Slips as an opponent to HB 3337: https://blnnews.com/2023/03/22/file-witness-slips-now-hearing-is-1100-tomorrow/

Below are the Committee Members who will hear the bill at 11:00 am today. The Republican Board members are aware of the real intent of this bill, the Democrats aren’t. Sharon Chung doesn’t even know what the bill is, she is being used by the Town of Normal.

The Democrats need to know why so many people have filed in opposition:

  1. This bill only applies to Normal
  2. The bill makes it legal for Normal to not comply with current law for Incorporated Towns
  3. The Rights of citizens to representation are erased if it passes
  4. The bill was no co-sponsors

Please call these Democrats and give them the facts, keep it simple. Ask them to not forward it to the full House.

  1. The bill takes away the voter right for Normalites to EVER petition for districts even if Normal becomes a Village or a city. All other town, villages, and city residents in the state will have more voter rights than those who live in Normal.

You may say this is unconstitutional, but if it passes who will pay the legal fees to fight Normal in court?

  2. It is a too common case that crooked politicians take an Oath of Office to the Consitution and then pass unconstituional laws intentionally challenging the citizens to take up that case. These traitors that walk among us I think are oblivious to fact that as they destroy “what’s right” this devious structure will come back and destroy them as well. It’s just a matter of time. What a sad, sad, bunch. Sad for America.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.”
