County Slate – no wonder Rankin wants out

By:  Diane Benjamin Below are all the people who filed for County offices.  The ones in red boxes will be on the primary ballot, evidently retiring dem party chair Erik Rankin couldn’t stop leftists from competing to see who can be the most extreme.  2 races will have democrat primaries, only one republican.  I wonder […]

Carlo: Explain this!

By:  Diane Benjamin See this previous story:  https://blnnews.com/2019/04/19/things-that-dont-fit-anywhere-else-3/ Democrat County Board member Carlo Robustelli berated GOP Chair Connie Beard for inferring municipal election are actually partisan. Carlo:  Why did the Democrat Party interfere in the last local non-partisan election? Maybe they aren’t really non-partisan Carlo?  Erik Rankin sure thinks they aren’t!  See picture below. The […]

Things that don’t fit anywhere else

By:  Diane Benjamin It looks like Kroger won’t be building on East College.  There is a sign on the property now advertising Commercial property for sale,. The Pantagraph ran the story below using 10 years of data, not the data from last year showing the Bloomington-Normal Metro area lost population.  https://blnnews.com/2019/04/18/yep-people-are-leaving/ Say it together:  #FakeNews.  […]

Proof of ISU indoctrination

By:  Diane Benjamin This article was posted in the ISU newspaper – the Vidette – on September 27th and updated on September 30th. http://www.videtteonline.com/news/isu-students-react-to-kavanaugh-hearings/article_819fdaa0-c2bb-11e8-a372-77979e03b0e0.html These kids don’t know a thing about innocent until proven guilty.  They have never been taught what “due process” means.  If it was up to them, Brett Kavanaugh would have been […]

Dickie Durbin at ISU

By:  Diane Benjamin The video of Dickie at ISU this morning is on Nikita Richards Facebook page.  He was here to endorse her.  The college Democrats plus Erik Rankin were there too.  The crowd didn’t look overwhelming. Dickie came, in his own words, to support a Democrat “traffic cop” to elections.  Yes, Dickie, we’ve seen […]

What really happened at ISU?

By:  Diane Benjamin Think back.  Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders are vying for the Democrat nomination for president.  The Illinois primary election was held on March 15, 2016. The Town of Normal has 30 precincts.  The entire County picked Hillary Clinton, 26 of Normal’s 30 locations picked Bernie Sanders.

Just so you know the Team:

By:  Diane Benjamin It was nice of most the progressives to pose for a pic together.  Progressives think government is the answer to every problems.  Personal responsibility isn’t required when government can create the future, they just need a ton more money to make it perfect.  Nikita Richards announced on Cities 92.9 that she plans […]

Democrat Jocularity!

By:  Diane Benjamin Erik Rankin is on the McLean County Board.  He is also the local Democratic Party Chairman.  Democrats are VERY outnumbered on the County Board.  VERY! Since Jason Chambers ran on the Republican Party ticket for State’s Attorney, his replacement until the next election has to be a Republican. Ranken was on WJBC  […]

Erik Rankin: WE AGREE!

By:  Diane Benjamin Scared? We can agree on some things!  Erik wrote a response on the ISU website to this question: His answer is excellent.  Read it for yourself here:  https://news.illinoisstate.edu/2016/09/ask-a-redbird-scholar-how-did-we-end-up-with-2-unpopular-presidential-candidates/   Besides being assistant to the chair and undergraduate advisor, Department of Politics and Government, Erik is a member of  the McLean County Board […]
