Two writers of Letters-to-the-Editor at the Pantagraph contacted me recently because the Pantagraph made them prove their facts were correct.
Today I lady has a letter printed stating the Republican led House has passed NO jobs bills – plenty of others, but nothing for jobs. Pantagraph: Did she have to provide evidence?
A quick Google search produced lots of sources – here’s one of them:
The below bills were passed by the House as a way to help create jobs in America at a time when unemployment remain above 8% for more than 30 consecutive months. Unfortunately these bills have stalled in the United States Senate.

I’m sure you noticed the SECOND line in every bill. Also, I’m sure you know who controls the Senate – hint: it’s not Republicans.
Evidently the letter writer is looking for more massive spending so government can fund putting people back to work. How’s that Hope and Change working for you Harriet? Been there – done that.
Obviously the House is looking for private sector jobs and keeping government from blocking job creation.
Pantagraph – you owe your readers an apology for printing obvious false statements.
Maybe Letters-to-the-Editor are beyond your capacity to regulate.
Another excellent point Diane. As far as the Pantagraph goes, I haven’t read it in months… most news is at least a day old, their opinion pieces are worthless. Hopefully more advertisers will wake up soon. I know my business has not advertised with them in over a year!
Yeah, the Pgraph has pulled that on me in the past, too.
