Read this story about Paul McKinley and his attempt to win Jesse Jackson Jr’s congressional Seat: http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2013/04/09/McKinley-Wins-2-3-Counties-and-22-in-IL02-Despite-Zero-Republican-Party-Support The best part is the comments. Many Many people are done with the IlGOP and the RNC
AJDeCarlo • 6 hours agoThat is because he was running against TWO political machines: the Chicago Machine, and the Republican Party elites.

Eeners AJDeCarlo • 3 hours ago I was at a party this weekend where some of the “establishment R’s” were and McKinley came up. One other person that has worked on Congressional campaigns spoke up and clapped when I said I supported Paul McKinley and he agreed with me that it’s a travesty that the IL-GOP ignores this district and ignored this race. They absolutely just refused to get past his criminal history–which was the only point the people I was with made–was his criminal background. It didn’t matter that McKinley served his time, owned the crimes and has done a turnaround. The congressional guy and I both agreed and pointed out that McKinley has a great turnaround story that could resonate with alot of people (and DID resonate). Anyway, I’m going to keep pushing to the Establishment GOP in ILL any chance I get and I’m not letting up!!!

-
Richard Cadle • 6 hours ago This just goes to show how inept the state and National GOP is. If you aren’t picked by them you get zero support – a little effort in this deep blue district could have made a difference.
That’s why I will refuse to give the GOP a dime’s worth of support until they take a 50 state stance on supporting all candidates in elections.

Peggy Piliero- Bogardus • 7 hours ago Tea Party Time…….let’s rock and ROLL all the lefties and RINOS out.

Charm4sure • 4 hours ago Good for Mc Kinley. Now if we can just find a few more thousand like him to kill off the GOP establishment, we might have a great country with a great economy.

Brad_bb • 5 hours ago April 13th there will be a closed door ILGOP meeting where we are hoping Pat Brady will be removed as head of the party. He and the ILGOP leadership like him, are out of line with grass roots Republicans/the rank and file in Illinois. Their time is up, they just don’t know it yet, and are clawing to hang onto “so-called” power. It will take time to return the power to the people, but it will get done. Never give up, never surrender.

Eeners Brad_bb • 3 hours ago this will piss off a personal friend of mine–but i’m with you on this 100%. I told my husband the IL GOP needs an enema. He’s been in/out of politics here in the state for a long time–and he usually argues with me back why I’m wrong. He didn’t on this one–I think he finally sees what I’ve been saying for a long time.
-
LeslieSusan Brad_bb • 3 hours ago What is really sad here, is that ILGOP’ers are too stupid to realize that by helping this guy into the office, they would have been treated like heros and held their own seats for a good long time. Now they are just an embarrassment on a NATIONAL scale.

JBnID • 4 hours ago I sent him the donation the RNC asked me for.
That’s the way it’ll be from now on. NO money to the RNC. It goes directly to good candidates.
-
Eeners JBnID • 3 hours ago WAIT, WHUT? The RNC asked you to donate for McKinley’s campaign? Was his name invoked on the literature??? If so, please send to Breitbart or Rebel Pundit, or someone to look into! He got NO support from RNC, not a dime!
I’m with you btw, we get the letters and I’m not giving a dime. Donations go directly to candidates of my choosing.

Brad_bb • 5 hours ago McKinley was the best candidate for this office by far. He spoke plainly, and he spoke truth. He would have truly represented the interests of the people of this district. He managed to wake some of the people up to realize that the Chicago machine does not, and has never represented their interests. They share issues and values in common with the tea party and grass roots conservatives. It’s just difficult for lifelong democrats to have to admit that truth to themselves after buying into the demonization of those groups for so long. I have faith that the truth will prevail more and more. They will not be looked down upon, but welcomed in solidarity of truth. It’s never too late to seek truth and do the right thing.

AZsmitty • 3 hours ago One more reason the RNC is having problems getting long time stawarts to contribute. Many of us send direct contributions to conservative candidates. We are tired of a “inner circle” of Rinos’ picking who will be a candidate. Good showing by Mr. McKinley, how much more could he have accomplished with major influx of money from the RNC?

Lynne Roberts • 4 hours ago Just spoke with my friend, Paul. He has a marathon runner’s heart. He is just as strong and determined, as he was two days ago. My question is, why the heck did he only get $10,000 worth of support from all of you? If even one million people sent in only five dollars, he would be on his way to Congress! Put your money where your mouths are. I’m Ex. Dir. of Dr. Alan Keyes’ initiative Operation Black Storm, and that’s exactly what we do- supporting Mia Love in the very beginning of her campaign, helping West, Scott, Cruz and Flores get elected, when the GOB GOP didn’t give a damn or dime. Paul’s a proud Frederick Douglass Republican and we will reclaim the party, whether they like it or not. Please visit uswww.frederickdouglassrepublica… or www.operationblackstorm.us/

Grace656 • 2 hours ago I’m thankful he ran and hope he finds another way to serve. I, too, gave my money last election to the candidates of my choice.
-
ICOYAR • 6 hours ago Just give up on Illinois.
Campaign in a state that actually matters. Illinois is nothing more than a joke.
-
-
Eeners ICOYAR • 3 hours ago It’s only a joke if we keep letting it be…I live here and I’m not giving up. This state used to be RED! I would be satisfied if we could at least get back to being a swing state. I know the Dems set it up w/ the last gerrymander to stay Blue at least until the next census. I’m stubborn though, and I believe people will finally get to a boiling point of having enough. Paul McKinley’s message is resonating at least with the grass roots. We need lots more of him! I hope he doesn’t step away.

LeslieSusan • 3 hours ago Mr. McKinley, if it helps, there are a lot of people in America who would have voted for you. A huge spit in the eye for the rotten eggs that are calling themselves RNC. That state RNC needs to be isolated from any money or help from the national party until they get off of their lazy cans and start helping and electing Republicans.
I hope Sarah Palin gets on this. She could do a great job in ushering in some needed changes to the way the that state RNC does its job. Or rather, doesn’t do its job. -
BenY • 3 hours ago No GOP support. OK, that proves it, he is most likely a conservative.
