The #GOP really hates when I say this

When you VOTE you will see a lot of uncontested races.  The primary is where ideas and values should be fought, but too few people step up to run for office.  We are permanently stuck with career politicians who do nothing but vote themselves raises and big pensions.  Think locally – we have a bunch of them.

Here’s what really upsets the local #GOP.  I tell people NOT to vote in an uncontested race if they aren’t thrilled with the candidate – leave it blank!  Show the candidate that you expect better.  Since they are the only one on the ballot, they will win with or without your vote.

Here’s why the GOP hates this.  They think if somebody like Dan Brady doesn’t get overwhelming support in the primary, the Democrats will run a candidate against him in the next election.  Nobody is listed on the Democrat primary ballot in his Congressional District.  Why is it a good thing when candidates don’t even have to campaign to win?  How much do you think they really care about you?  What is keeping them accountable to the voters?

Answer:  Nothing!

The county, the state, and local governments are in big trouble.  This is a small way of making the point that we deserve better.
