Not only is buying the property south of the library for $250,000 on the agenda for the Monday City Council meeting, there’s more!
One of their SECRET MEETINGS (Executive Session) is scheduled for 5:45.
Guess what the topic is:
What does it take to stop the spending? A hotly contested budget was just passed in April that spent a lot more money than last year. Now Bloomington is on a buying spree? Too bad they aren’t spending their own money – they are robbing YOU.
Next year the pension payment goes up again. The 3 taxes they raised are not going to cover them. Yet the spending continues and continues and continues. Budgets evidently no longer matter.
City elections next year will not be kind to the potted plants.

Why can’t the pensions be funded like the imrf, which is in decent shape?
Because the city didn’t contribute what they should have for years. They had too many presents to give the taxpayers.
