I hear New Orleans is lovely this time of year.
Ask Ben Owens – McLean County Board. In July he attended a conference there. Travel $544.00. Expenses from 7/10 to 7/13 – $810.68. The County doesn’t know if the conference cost anything.
Common sense government is no longer allowed. Education is required to spend taxpayer money. You didn’t know that? Citizens are now brainwashed into believing government’s job is really tough. Businesses quit travel years ago. They can Skype meetings. They had to quit because they were spending THEIR money. Government doesn’t have to, they don’t have stockholders – just citizens. Most don’t bother to vote, very little transparency is involved, there is no press to expose them, so why quit?

8 other Admin Employees went to Springfield. Each got $30.00 – $240.00
6 Admin employees went to Urbana. Each got $60.00 – $360.00
Total – $4612.09, all expenses not included!
You aren’t being governed Bloomington and McLean County, you are being ruled by people so much smarter than you they need to travel and get trained at your expense.
