Why Renner was predictible

by:  Diane Benjamin

If you didn’t look at the 2 applications turned to fill Rob Fazzini’s seat, here’s all you need to know:

Diana Hauman – Look at 22.  She is fully on board with spending your money downtown.  Renner’s agenda.

I wonder who she listed as a reference and the City redacted?  (section 24)  Addresses can be redacted legally, not names on a public document.  Why wasn’t Phylis’s redacted?  Maybe Diana put down Socialist Jan Schakowsky!

Hauman2Contrast her application with Alton Franklin.  See #22.  Which person represents YOUR values?

Franklin2.

  1. So serving on your condo board for a number of years qualifies you to serve on the city council????
    Seriously?
This isn’t hard to figure out. It is the city of Bloomington, after all. The redacted names are Rob and Lynne Fazzini and Tari Renner.
Alton, I appreciate your willingness to step up and apply. Now it’s time to take it to the next level, you’ve got to run. We’re behind you, friend.

  2. So candidate Diana Hauman is interested in the downtown and Alton Franklin is interested in the entire community. Doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see the connections here. Yeah the vote to blow more money on the downtown is a sure bet with Hauman. How much money must we spend down before the council realizes that since there is SO much activity on the east side, continuous utopian plans for the downtown is a waste.

  3. I’m fine with having an awesome downtown, that would be great! It would be so cool to walk from street to street and maybe stop at a little shop and buy a nice little trinket or have another beer. It’s not happening right now, it may 20 or 30 years down the road but not right now. It’s not hard for me to realize that we need to focus on infrastructure before needs, why wont this little man of a mayor open his eyes?

  4. I am so disgusted with the city of Flamingoton….the family and I are moving out of Illinois by Christmas. We just can’t stomach the politics of this area anymore… It’s past the fixing point and the only way to stop the madness is to stop living here and paying the taxes. We are not the only family in our neighborhood leaving either….

  5. Diana is quoted in today’s Pantycrap as saying that “the biggest thing I would like to see is having people (on the Council) work better together.” That’s liberal speak for group think, potted plants, rubber stamp Renner’s agenda, higher taxes, more money dumped into downtown and yes, probably a downtown hotel with no questions asked. Screw the people. To follow former Mayor Judy’s example the opposition of the people makes us all the more determined to achieve our goals in spite of them.
