Just to be clear to everyone. These were stopped over two years ago (just a few months after I was sworn in as Mayor).
This should be a dead issue!
There are no committees anymore and if there were, we would operate them differently.
I had to read this a couple of times to understand what was going on here quite frankly!!
I couldn’t believe it!
This is old wine in very VERY old bottles.

Even though I was present and I heard what Aldermen were assigned to what committee, Tari claims there are no committees.

There was a confusing e-mail disseminated by “Bloom Ington” this week. Maybe Mr. Hales is ignoring the “resolution” to discontinue secret meetings–Hales doesn’t enforce city regulations anyway. Wouldn’t it funny if the Mayor has been replaced by Mr. Hales and is being shunned from those meetings.
I hear the mayor is complicit. These aren’t meetings. When we walked in, Hales called it a staff meeting (minus the staff).
There was a touch of sarcasm in my comment. I don’t trust Hales/Renner to run a wash machine.

If Hales is the king, then Renner is the queen.
