Update – So far NEW is winning, but not by a lot
A reader donated enough money to upgrade the website to get rid of WordPress ads. It also gave me access to other formats.
I need to know if you like the new format or if you like the old one better! I’ve got one shot to restore the old version.

Hard to read black type on gray background when it appears in your columns. Can that be fixed?
I need a new way to highlight. I realize the old ways don’t work.
I vote to go back to the old format. Everything was more compact and easier to read. Flashy is not always better. Not sure what you mean by highlight tho? Doesnt font color=”red” work on this format? God its been years since ive made websites. lol

I could go with either, THIS one will take some getting used to though..
It was worth a try, but I prefer the original.
I voted for new. Either is fine. Reader format is available if you prefer black and white.
Either is fine with me, it’s the message that is important. Do like the change on the new from white-over-black to black-over-blue/grey though.
I’ve got lots of color options but most look harsh to me.
It shows up different depending on the device used. Using Reader it’s in black and white.
Please go back to the original format. The poor contrast and weak font make reading very difficult. I love your column.
I like the latest iteration with grey and white letters. Reader view always available. Love larger headlines and short intro to story.
I like the new format but in black and white. This current version adds more color, but it can be more difficult to read on a mobile phone.
That format doesn’t come in black and white. I would have to find another theme or return to the old one.

THIS “Bloomington Beige” is easier to read. CONTENT is what matters.
Better, but black on beige is still difficult to read. Would appreciate black on white again. (Even the Parts Depot ad at the top of the page has a white background because it’s easier to read. 🙂 )

Anything without ads is ok. If I had to choose tho, I liked the more compact version. I like to see a snippet big enough for me to tell if I want to read it. If I can’t tell I move on.

This third format is the best in my opinion. The dark theme is too negative. The lighter theme is very crisp and modern looking. It’s also much more inviting.
Much better. The font still appears gray to me on my phone and laptop, albeit a dark gray. Black would make for more comfortable reading. Appreciate your time on this.
