The people of McLean County must love wasting money. There is no need for Bloomington to have their own election office that can’t be held accountable by voters when the County Clerk, who can be fired by voters, is capable of running all elections.
In Bloomington 7805 people out of 55,242 registered actually voted. That’s 14.13%

3247 voted a Democrat ballot

Donald Trump got 3053 votes. (68.0%)
Joe Biden got 2913 votes. (90.63%)

Voting at the mall was another huge waste of money. Less than 50 Trump and Biden voters voted at the mall. I couldn’t find the total number of voters at the mall, but it’s still a waste of money for primaries few people bother to vote in.

Agree 100%. But some love that power that they have and will not relinquish it. Why should they? No one will force them, they can control election candidate applications and its power. POWER! POWER!!!! POWER!!!!!!!
The last time it was on the ballot the citizens of Bloomington didn’t understand the issues. They don’t fund that office – the rest of the County does. Of course we have no say in how OUR money is spent.
