2020 is an anomaly caused by salary reporting issues.

Summary:

Gleason will be earning more money where the cost of living is a lot less than Bloomington. His Decatur $650 a month vehicle allowance is going directly to his deferred compensation retirement account. See the Decatur Tribune story above.

  1. Public “servant” retirement and salary and perks (normal people don’t he i less a CEO or BP in private sector and usually those folks are clueless about reality and come from charmed && families or college/university alumni

Charmed lives for sure at taxpayer expense

    What a joke

  2. Can the taxpayers in Bloomington request a refund for being OVERCHARGED for that clown?

  3. As the old saying goes he is laughing all the way to the bank!!!
All that money and he was still allowed to appoint two assistant managers to support him.
If the taxpayers would only remember who is responsible for this fiasco at the next election.

  4. It’s been a long time since I was in (bean town) Decatur but it literally stinks. I get your point but I’d expect to pay less to live in a stinky town.

  5. What’s really going on here? His Arizona opportunity made sense. This one does not. This shows a man whose intent on leaving and in my view it’s not for a better opportunity. Something just isn’t adding up.

      1. So why then doesn’t he stay in Bloomington? It’s clear he’s trying to get out. What are the reasons?

  6. Gleason also hired Tyrus from Decatur as well as an assistant city manager – new position in Bloomington. Will Tyrus stay here or go back to Decatur?? Will Bloomington still keep the assistant position?? Lots of questions.
