Dead Turbines

By: Diane Benjamin

This video is of wind turbines near Broadwell Il. It was WINDY yesterday, but none of them were turning. I saw a small solar field on the west side of I55 too, a nice hail storm will destroy it. Only the un-informed would believe either will provide enough energy to fuel the economy.

Don’t get your panties in a wad – I was in the passenger seat taking this video:

  1. I drove by the windfarm on the northwest edge of Normal on the way to Carlock yesterday afternoon. Those turbines were not turning, either, because it was too windy. I heard the turbines only generate electricity when the wind is within a certain range. So, the turbines are like Goldilocks–the wind has to be just right. If anyone knows what that range is, I would love to know. Then, I could monitor the wind speed and determine approximately how many days a year those things are actually doing something good.

Regarding solar, in the past year or so, I noticed a solar farm was installed along Rt 34 on the southwest side of Monmouth. I’m guessing it’s around 20 acres. This is prime farmland that is now out of production. Solar doesn’t generate at night, and on cloudy days, the output is diminished. The solar panels are not recyclable, so they will end up in a landfill at the end of their life.

It’s unfortunate that our governor is a WEF/Agenda 2030 hack and going right along with their Marxist agenda. He will continue to waste billions of dollars that this bankrupt state doesn’t have to fund these boondoggle projects. It’s also unfortunate that many farmers are ignorant about what’s really going on. They’re just happy to accept the bribes for these boondoggles to be placed on their farmland.

    1. I agree. It’s really infuriating to see stupid solar panels on prime farm land. It truly boggles my mind. In Indiana & Illinois I’ve seen several acres covered in solar panels.

    2. yep $$$ also known as “innovation” and bribes.

Landowners and Farmers and their families generally trump any opinion or concerns rural county taxpayers and citizens have had FOR decades.

The CO2 boondoggle and preaching is high now-dirty games played for long time.

And who profits…discernment (follow the $)

  2. In a perfect world, the bad politicians would get voted out. That would require good citizens to VOTE, O, but they are too busy. SO we get what gets elected! WHO is counting the votes! Elections have consequences!
