Two event reports were posted without me having to FOIA.

Looks like a loss of $10,924.83.
This is the show Deputy City Manager Billy Tyus stated didn’t sell well but proves diversity:
Looks at the ticket sales and tickets given away verses actual attendance. Make sense?

$195,666.34 + $75,000.00 = $270,666.34
It looks like this show made $7,002.33.
Isn’t it deceptive to post a profits and not tell you the talent cost isn’t included? If they are worried about future acts finding out what the arena pays, they shouldn’t be. The event reports are only available if you know where to find them. https://www.bloomingtonil.gov/government/advanced-components/documents/-folder-2104#docan2735_6873_64
The City used to have a “Documents” tab. Now it doesn’t.

Is there any hope the coliseum could ever be paid off? Is keeping it open and having shows perform at a loss send the debt even deeper??
It will get paid off eventually. City would rather pay interest though.
The city just came into a windfall of money with the real estate taxes they could pay the coliseum off in a couple of years but duh! you have to have a brain to figure that out. Bloomington residents just keep electing these ignorant people to spend yours and my hard earned money. How sad.
Time to dump the tea into the harbor!!!!!
I asked Alderman Crumpler about this. Like other times I reached out, no response. I’m glad he’s stepping down, as his representation and responsiveness has been poor.
