The Committee of the Whole is meeting tonight. The only way government can fix the “housing crisis” is to get out of the way. Quit raising property taxes, quit applying for grants the feds printed money to pay that caused inflation. Live within your means and concentrate on essential services.
It will take time but housing will fix itself when entrepreneurs know it is safe for them to invest. That process started yesterday.
3 things are on the agenda:
Patrick Hoban will exaggerate the housing shortage numbers because he thinks everyone who works in town wants to live there. I know people who live here and drive to other cities, it works both ways Patrick.
Mark Adams will beg for money for his Socialist Land Trust.
Bloomington will then hear ways to usurp capitalism by calling it incentives. Picking winners and losers will be required without being stated.
Should be riveting!
Create a crisis…then sweep in like a “hero” and save the day
At Taxpayer expense….while they *public servants* and political class “investors” all retire on our dime with pay for life (something does not add up here)
