I keep hearing from Cody supporters that he will “get things done”. The below is a comment left on my site stating what they “want done”.
How does a mayor guarantee a “living wage”? Many businesses are barely holding on since the Illinois Progressives raised the minimum wage which of course raised the cost of everything you buy to pay employees more.
Of course that defeats the purpose of getting paid more!
Affordable Housing? What is Cody going to cut to have money for affordable housing? Police? That won’t help with the “fear and bigotry”.
Evidently Cody wants illegal aliens welcomed. How much money is he willing to use for their needs? Is unemployment high because illegals are willing to work for less and take jobs citizens want? Where are illegals going to live when we keep hearing citizens can’t find housing?
Cody and his supporters are the people who don’t live in reality. Although entertaining, Jenn Carrillo and Jeff Crabill had the same problem. Progressives love to create victim mentality so they can solve it. Everybody will be a victim of evil corporations, conservatives, the police, and “normies”.
The show will be memorable. Reality won’t.
Early voting starts in February. This election determines whether Bloomington becomes a far left haven for far left radicals or it doesn’t.
Does the writer know Pritzker will let you have all the reproductive freedom you want? With Planned Parenthood closing the pills will have to come by mail unless you want to travel. You probably have to be able to define female if you want them though.
I remember when the people’s first coalition got defeated pretty easily. Cody really isn’t any different. I’m optimistic Bloomington isn’t gullible enough to vote for this guy.

I’m not so optimistic. Gullible people probably are more apt to vote than people who can think critically because gullible people believe anything they’re told, even if it is nonsense. So, the more idiotic, inflammatory, nonsense progressives can come up with the more voters they encourage.
People who think critically assume that the gullible can’t be that simple and stay home.
Sounds like a campaign narrative for more money funnel. Getting things done. ram rodding in crap on taxpayer dime to exploit data, employees, and call it agile project management….lol Its all the same “progressive” pay to play themes. GOP just was part of the whole game too round here. “Planning” for our future workforce and Generation.”.

Cody campaign talk sounds much like Tari Renner campaign talk. How’d that work out for you Bloomington?
Very true. Citizens got a ton of new taxes and a water park instead of a pool that’s only open a few months a year. Brilliant use of millions of dollars.

Cody doesn’t even work in the town he wants to be the Mayor of. What’s he gonna do during the school day ? – ignore the kids and go to ribbon cuttings or teach his students and miss the civic events ? Cody just isn’t at the right life stage to do both. Cody isn’t ready. Basically he is just another Jackie! Gunderson. Hard Pass.
