Remember this post with REAL profit from a show at the BCPA?
The show was Adam Wainwright. The event report originally displayed was posted by mistake. That event report actually showed how much he got paid to appear and therefore the TRUE profit.
Now go to this page to see the “revised” event report. https://www.bloomingtonil.gov/home/showpublisheddocument/32049/638984537147030000
The amount Wainwright was paid is no longer on it. Evidently you are supposed to believe the fake profit numbers.

.
The Finance Department did a little better showing the property tax increase they will likely inflict Monday night: https://bloomingtonil.portal.civicclerk.com/event/1024/files/attachment/3742
They didn’t lie and pretend your assessed value didn’t increase from last year, like many others have so far. They had another trick up their sleeve and hoped you won’t notice:

Bloomington did show the true Assessed Value, but the increase is PER MONTH instead of total.
That’s $80.52 more a year for a relatively inexpensive home.
When Unit 5 and District 87 add a lot more to the 2026 property tax bills, many more people will be looking for UHauls.
Don’t forget the library needs to tax you more too. Theirs is seperate.
Aren’t you glad the 1% Sales Tax passed?
