Update: Randolph Township pulls the Unit 5 primary scam

By: Diane Benjamin

The Randolph Township Fire Protection District put this on the PRIMARY ballot for the same reason Unit 5 put the 1% Sales Tax increase on a primary ballot.

They know voter turnout in primaries is low – it’s easy to get what you want when few people vote.

You can choose a non-partisan ballot if you don’t want to have any input on who will be on the November ballot but want to vote on this:

How much are your taxes going up to pay back the bond?

  1. We need to repeal the state law that place local, county, and school board elections in the spring. Everything, but specific political party nomination primaries, needs to be voted upon ONLY on the first tuesday of November, every year. In person, paper ballots, one day to vote, with proof of citizenship to register, and photo ID to vote, while we are at it.

  2. Overtaxed already in Heyworth. They need to get serious grant money and come back later.
